What with the start of Season 2 of the Overwatch animated shorts, and a pending character release in the near future, the story is only just getting started.As the Oxford Union Society (OUS) celebrates its Bicentenary Year, there is much on which to reflect - from notable debates that have reverberated around the world to the guest speakers who have been questioned and challenged by the Society’s members. Before the launch of the game, a four-part animated series was steadily released. Animated shorts are 6 to 10 minute long videos that expand upon the lore of Overwatch. These cinematics come with the announcement of each Overwatch game: Overwatch and Overwatch 2. Each focuses on a different hero and map. It’ll bring you up to speed in no time.Īnd just in time too. That’s right, the second season of the Overwatch animated shorts has now officially kicked off with the fifth story, “The Last Bastion”. I’ve had severe withdrawals over the past few months, but thankfully, my itch for more lore is about to be scratched.
